For this design, I was inspired by the clefs on the grand staff. Violin is played in treble clef, and the pedal harp is played with both treble and bass clef simultaneously, so I thought it would be neat to include them somehow. To me, the treble clef resembled the shape of a violin, and the bass clef resembled part of a harp, so I used them to form the basic shape of each instrument. I initially wanted to use gold and a shade of chestnut to color the logo, but I thought black was a better color to use to make an elegant and classy silhouette like was requested. I tried some brown gradients, but they made the logo look cheap. For the font, I chose Destine Regular. I was limited in terms of font choice as I had to finish this design on my personal iPad, and Procreate does not offer many fonts, so I chose the only font that had rounded serifs in a style that matched the logo. While making this logo, I had to use pathfinder a lot for the violin, so I became quite familiar with using that tool. I also used circles to create a rough treble clef shape in order to keep the violin symmetrical while I lined it, and it actually worked pretty well.
